This was a big one. A 4,600 sq. ft. home getting a full refresh from top to bottom - fresh paint throughout, new tile flooring, and a stair conversion from carpet to oak hardwood. Jobs like this take real coordination. You can't just show up and start painting. Every surface, every transition point, every detail has to be planned out before the first coat goes on.
The stair conversion was the centerpiece of this whole project. Going from carpet to oak hardwood on a curved staircase like this one is not a simple swap. The curve of the staircase means every tread has to be cut and fitted individually. There's no shortcut. We measured everything carefully before a single piece of wood was cut - that's the only way to get clean, tight results on a staircase this detailed.
The flooring throughout the main level is wood-look tile, and it runs continuously through the entryway, living areas, and kitchen. That kind of consistency across a large open floor plan is what ties a whole home together. The dark espresso cabinetry in the kitchen pops against the lighter tile, and the granite countertops with the farmhouse sink give the space a finished, high-end feel that the flooring installation really complements.
Paint might seem straightforward, but covering a home this size - with vaulted ceilings, arched doorways, and two stories - takes serious prep work. Drop cloths on the floors, plastic sheeting over the cabinetry and railings, tape on every edge. We protect what's already done so nothing gets undone. That's just how we work.
A project like this is a reminder of what a full home renovation can do. It's not one big change - it's a dozen smaller decisions made well, all working together. The stair conversion, the flooring, the fresh paint, the bathroom updates. Each piece on its own is solid work. Together, they make a house feel brand new.
