Here's what we were working with - a dated master bath that had seen better days. The original setup had a tub-shower combo with a basic curtain rod, worn hardwood floors running into the bathroom, builder-grade vanity mirrors, and a plain swing door connecting the bedroom to the bath. Functional, sure. But not exactly the kind of space that makes your morning easier.
We gutted it and started fresh. The flooring got a full replacement - new large-format tile throughout the bathroom that's clean, durable, and way easier to maintain than the old wood. The double vanity got a complete overhaul too. Dark espresso cabinetry, a tall center linen tower for extra storage, light stone countertops, and Moen fixtures at both sinks. Individual mirrors with swing-arm sconces give each person their own dedicated space. The difference is night and day.
The real centerpiece here is the porcelain shower. Large-format gray tile on the walls, small mosaic tile on the floor, and a frameless sliding glass door with chunky brushed nickel hardware. Inside the shower, we built in a teak fold-down bench seat, a recessed niche for product storage, grab bars on multiple walls, and both a fixed overhead head and a handheld slide-bar unit. Everything was spec'd through Moen. It's a shower that works for how people actually live.
We also swapped out the old bedroom entry door for a set of French-style doors with frosted glass panels. They let natural light filter through while still keeping the bathroom private. It's one of those details that seems small but completely changes how the space feels from the bedroom side.
When a master bath is outdated or just hard to use day-to-day, it drags down the whole suite. This kind of full bathroom remodel - flooring, vanity, shower, doors - is exactly what we do, and we approach every piece of it with the same level of care.
